College softball recruiting news, three times a week

Rules change. Deadlines move. What worked for last year's class doesn't always apply to this one. We publish what actually changed and what it means for your athlete — in plain language, with the date on it.

What we cover
  • NCAA, NAIA and NJCAA rule changes as they happen
  • What the House settlement actually changed, and for whom
  • Contact dates, dead periods and calendar shifts
  • Eligibility — including the age-based model and what it costs a reclass
  • Scholarship and roster-limit math by division
  • The parent side: money conversations, visits, red flags
How we handle accuracy

Every post is dated, and every post reflects the rules as they stood on that date. Some rules apply unevenly — Division I roster limits bind only schools that opted into the House settlement, and contact rules differ by division and governing body — so we say which applies to whom rather than flattening it.

We don't promise scholarships, offers, or outcomes. We tell you what changed and what it means.

Always confirm with the governing body
